Cookie Policy

Last updated: 31 August 2026  ·  Version 1.1

This Cookie Policy explains how podologiarenzi.it uses cookies, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 and the guidelines issued by the Italian Data Protection Authority on 8 July 2021.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites store in your browser as you browse. They let a site remember your preferences and, in some cases, collect information about how its pages are used.

This site uses only two categories of cookies: technical ones, needed for it to work, and those related to displaying the maps of our practices, which are activated only if you choose to accept them.

Cookies we use

Technical cookies — always active

Required for the site to work and to record your choices. No consent is needed under Article 122 of Legislative Decree 196/2003.

Preference cookies — with your consent

Activated only if you accept the “Preferences” category in the banner. Until you do, a placeholder is shown instead of the maps and no data is sent to Google.

The map is loaded through the Google Maps programming interface, which writes a single cookie. The main reason we ask for your consent is a different one: loading the map sends Google your IP address and technical information about your device, to the United States. Until you consent, that transfer does not happen.

Your browser may hold other cookies from the google.com domain that were not set by this site, but by your own browsing on Google services or by the browser itself. We cannot read or delete them: you can manage them in your browser settings or in your Google account.

What we do not use

For transparency, here is what this site does not do:

  • No statistical or traffic analysis cookies
  • No advertising, remarketing or profiling cookies
  • No social network pixels
  • No contact forms and no data collection through the site
  • No comments or reviews

The links to the practice's Facebook and Instagram profiles are plain links: they set no cookies and send no data until you choose to follow them.

Third-party services

Google Maps
Google LLC — United States
Interactive maps of our two practices, including conversion of the address into geographic coordinates. Active only with your consent to the “Preferences” category. Transfers to the United States rely on the Standard Contractual Clauses and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for as long as it remains in force.

Google Maps is the only third-party service active on the site. Hosting and email infrastructure are described in the Privacy Policy, section 5.

Managing cookies

From the site banner

You can change your choices at any time by clicking the cookie preferences icon on the page. If you withdraw consent, the maps go back to being replaced by the placeholder.

From your browser

You can also manage cookies in your browser settings:

If you refuse

Technical cookies cannot be refused, because without them the site does not work and your choices could not be stored. If you refuse the “Preferences” category the interactive maps are not loaded: instead you will see a placeholder with the address of the practice and a link to open it directly in Google Maps. All content on the site remains accessible.
